Angel, The Dog Who Cheats Death.

Angel was found abandoned in a kennel on Fort Moore after recently having pups.

She was rescued by Ft. Moore Stray Facility where they discovered she had severe heart worms and an infection on her nipples, in addition to being extremely malnourished.

She was fostered by a lovely couple, Arina and Mattias, who helped her gain weight and showered her with love. However, they were told she was going to need to be euthanized, and wouldn’t survive heart worm treatment. They reluctantly brought her in for her euthanasia.

Here's where Angel cheats death (the first time).

Another doctor gave them a different opinion. Angel would be fine, and just needed to undergo treatment for her heart worms.

Arina and Mattias had to move out of state and could no longer keep Angel; which is how she fell into my lap.

Angel underwent the treatment for her heart worms. After four weeks, she went in for her check up and we were told her lungs looked extremely damaged, beyond what heart worms would cause. Euthanasia was once again suggested.

But Angel had other plans. After a chick-fil-a kids meal and lots of tears, the doctor told us her lungs just needed time to heal. So Angel cheated death again.

But all of these vet visits and treatments have added up. While the stray facility has done an amazing job so far, they have so many dogs to care for.

Angel still has a long way to go, and we need help paying for her medications.

So much love and care has gone into this pup. She is a sweet girl who deserves every chance at life.
