Angela Haywood 's Son, Quint's Funeral Expenses

It is with deep sadness and sympathy that we share the news of the death of Joseph L. Stone V, 31, the son of one of our former Capitol veteran staffers, Angela Haywood. Angela began her legislative career in 1992 when Joseph, or as she affectionately referred to him as “Quentin or Q” was only 1 year old. Quentin was one of the Capitol Kids who could regularly be seen at work with Angela as she worked in various offices, including the Assembly Office of Constituent Services for then Speaker Willie L. Brown Jr. She continued her career serving in legislative positions in the offices of Assemblymembers Joe Baca, Martin Gallegos, Roderick D. Wright, Sarah Reyes, Juan Arambula,  Sandre Swanson and Senator Leland Yee. After retiring from the Capitol, Angela returned to her hometown of San Angelo, Texas to care for aging relatives

Angela made many sacrifices to raise Quentin, her only child, to be an educated, successful young man. Many have said “he was her world.” Q attended Merryhill Schools and graduated from Monterey Trail High School. He then attended and graduated from Texas Southern University in Houston Texas. Quentin was living and working in Dallas Texas. Having grown up in Sacramento, Quentin has many friends in the area that are impacted by the loss of this warmhearted and loving young man.
