In Honor of Angela Hernandez

Today heaven gained a beautiful angel by the name of Angela Hernandez. Her passing has left everyone that knew her devastated. Our little Wonder Woman fought with all her might, but we are heartbroken to say she lost her battle today. On behalf of the family, I would like to share Angela’s Story. At only 13 years old, she touched so many hearts with her smile, positive attitude and the will to live. She was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Leukemia and bravely fought for 2 years. Angela couldn’t have asked for better support from her family and friends during this difficult time. Her mom fought side by side with her every single day and her family did everything they could to make sure she was happy and knew she was loved. Despite living two hours away from the hospital, Angie’s mom left work early everyday to be with her beloved Angie.
I met Angie around the holidays and was inspired by her positivity and values. I asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she quickly responded with “Good Health.” Watching her go through so many challenges in her early life, with such a remarkable attitude, made all of us feel more present and still gives me tremendous perspective. I will always treasure the moments I spent with her like taking her to a baseball game and watching her ride her own bike! Angie you will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten!
The least I can do is ask my family, friends and kind-hearted people to spend just a few minutes to give to Angela’s family during these difficult times.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you will SHARE her story to help the Hernandez Family with funeral expenses and medical bills they have yet to pay. Every dollar is much appreciated.
