Help Angela in her fight
Donation protected
I’m starting this fundraiser for my courageous niece Angela. She was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. There are going to be tough months ahead for the family, including her two sisters and brother.
Angela will be going through treatment at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto. I’m hoping to raise funds to help with the expenses that will come with this, such as time being taking off work, travelling to/from Toronto and staying there, so the focus can be entirely on Angela’s health.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
*UPDATE*
Angela had brain surgery last week. The biopsy results came back: her tumour is a cancerous suprasellar germinoma.
Angela will have to go through 12 rounds of chemotherapy and then 2.5 weeks of radiation over the next 5 months. The family will be travelling to and staying in Toronto frequently for the next five months.
During this time, the parents will be taking time off to take care of her.
They will need all the support we can give them; everything helps.
***UPDATE 6/21/2023***
The chemo is working and shrinking the tumour! Angela still has 5 rounds of chemo at Sick Kids to go, and then radiation.

UPDATE 7/18/2023
As some of you may know, Angela’s last round of chemo was too much for her body, and she was admitted to PRHC in Peterborough. She had to have around the clock care and monitoring. After spending two weeks in the hospital, she was able to come home. Her blood count took longer than normal to bounce back. This means they are off track with her treatment schedule.
She has one session with three rounds of chemo left. We are told this will be the worst, with guaranteed hospitalization as her body is so weak. After this last chemo treatment, Angela will have three weeks of rest before going for 2.5-3 weeks straight of radiation.
We have been very grateful for all the donations and sharing so far. We are asking that you keep sharing. Ashley has been off work for the past 4 months as Angela’s caregiver, and Dave has been working when he can between the treatments and emergencies. This, unfortunately, hasn’t been very much due to the severity of Angela’s condition. Any and all donations have been used to help the family care for their four children, home expenses, accommodation/ travel for emergency and Sick Kids visits. The family has lost count of how many times they have had to stay in Toronto to be by Angela’s side in her fight. It has been a long, hard, and emotional road for this family. Let’s keep sharing to help relieve some of the financial stress during these times.
Thank you, and much appreciated
