Update: Our beautiful Mother has passed away and our funds will now go towards her memorial service.

Hello everyone, my name is Michael. My siblings and I are fundraising to help our mother get through these difficult times. Over a year ago, our mother was diagnosed with early-stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This past year our mother has fought bravely and tirelessly to try and beat cancer. Unfortunately, the cancerous tumor has grown, and with great sadness and a heavy heart, we now face the reality that our mother will succumb to this disease. Our mother is now in hospice care as she did not want to remain in the hospital to live out her remaining time. She preferred to be in her home and listen to the morning birds sing as the early morning sun hit her garden. The expenses associated with the care of our mother are expensive and beyond our means. We would greatly appreciate any help in meeting our goal to pay for the cost of her care.
Our mother has been a hard-working and faith-driven person her whole life. Our mother took a chance at a better future and migrated from Guatemala to the U.S. in the 1970’s. Our mother would always help the less fortunate and has continued that until she was no longer able to. As a kid, I remember during the cold winter nights our mother would take blankets and coats to the unhoused. She would buy breakfast for the less fortunate when others would ignore them. No matter her struggles, our mother would do all that she could to help her family, friends, and strangers. Our mother worked hard to provide the best life possible for her daughters and sons. She worked hard to provide a great life for her children and has been nothing but an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend her whole life. She raised us to appreciate each other even when times were tough, she taught us that life can be tough, but that does not mean that we should harden ourselves to it. Instead to soften ourselves were needed to help each other and those around us. Our mother has left a mark on everyone she meets and has provided comfort for those in need. As her children, we could not have asked for a better mother, and hope that we continue to make her proud every day.
