Angelle Family Seminary-Ministry Journey

Dear Family and Friends,

I'm writing to you, my community, and my loved ones to update you on some exciting things happening in my life and to ask for your support.

As some of you know, Last year, I left my full-time job in K-12 education to focus on completing my Master in Divinity at Austin Seminary and discern a call to ministry. Throughout this year of focused study and ministry work, I have had the opportunity to do much more work at the intersection of Faith and Social Justice and serve in my local church. I’ve been able to help lead Bible Studies, teach classes, and learn about forming partnerships with churches and non-profits that serve the Austin community and beyond. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do this Kingdom work and learn from other sincerely incredible people who also teach and serve in ministry.

While I have been working part-time and picking up some extra pay as a teaching assistant and intern in ministry, It has put a bit of a financial strain on our family, but with help from our savings and tight budgeting, we have been able to make it work for the last year and a half.

However, this coming year will bring significant change for us. Some of you know my family is expecting another baby in the next few months. We are incredibly grateful for this, but it will, unfortunately, limit my ability to continue picking up the extra work for at least the next year. A new baby will raise our expenses quite a bit, and without the additional work and with the additional cost of childcare and insurance, we expect a deeper strain on our finances.

I feel compelled to continue following the call of God, doing this ministry work, and completing my MDiv in May 2025. Unfortunately, that comes at a cost. We continue to trust that God will provide and to continue serving faithfully and effectively, we are asking for help from our community.

How you can join us

If you have been encouraged by any of my ministry work or you simply love us and want to help support this journey, would you partner with me in doing this work by praying and, if you are able, making a financial contribution through our GoFundMe or directly to my Venmo? I believe that God calls us to live our lives and do this work in community with one another, and I need the help of our community to do what God is calling and preparing me to do.

Specifically, we need funds for at least the next year and a half to help pay for insurance, additional childcare costs, and living expenses. We have estimated that we will need an additional $2700 a month for that increase in cost, or $32,400 for the next year. Thankfully, because of my commitment to and demonstrated promise for ministry and the generosity of seminary funders, I received a fellowship that will cover my entire tuition, which is an immense blessing.

** Our goal is to raise at least that $32,400 to get me through the completion of my program and the ability to seek full-time ministry/community work.

I truly believe in the work I have been able to do and hope to do more to bring the church beyond the four walls and into the community to make a real impact and bring healing to our broken world.
