Hello, friends and family of Angel. Today I am adding this heartfelt message from Angel's Family:
To all of our friends and family, and those who have known and loved our beautiful Angel,
~ We have tried for hours over the last few days to have the strength and composure to write this. The grief that we are all experiencing, losing our precious Angel, can’t even be put into words. On Saturday, October 22, 2022, we received “that knock on the door”, that every person fears, and were told our dearest Angel, only 28 years old, was gone. As many know, she struggled with addiction for many years. I realize that there is a lot of stigma that comes with addiction, but to anyone who has loved an addict, it is an everyday hell and struggle trying to save them, protect them, trying to get them to believe in themselves again, and most of all you pray everyday a day like this never comes. You want them to be able to see themselves again, love themselves enough, they way you always have. After 7 months clean, there was real hope, we saw her making progress and she reached out to her loved ones with goals, and future plans, and she believed it, we wanted it to be true more than anything! All it took was one time, one relapse, and one accidental overdose, to tear all of us apart.
~ Angel was so much more than her addiction! She was a daughter, a granddaughter, the big sister of her brother and three younger sisters, and she was the mother of two sweet little boys who will never get to know their mother, and never hear from her again, how much she truly loved them with all of her heart. .
~ She was our Angel, the little girl who loved to dress up like a princess, played with barbies, took dance lessons, was a cheerleader, and a State Gymnast medalist. She stood before us on her graduation day and spoke to the crowd about some of her struggles, and her ability to fight through them and accomplish her dreams. She loved, she wanted more for everyone, more for herself, and she wanted, from every part of her being, to kick this addiction and come back to all of us as who she truly was.
~ We want to thank all of the extended family and friends who have contacted us, and have given their prayers and support during this most difficult time. Please keep all of Angel’s loved ones in your prayers, there are so many of us who are truly grieving the loss of such a beautiful and loving soul ♾ forever ♾
~ We want to thank our long time dearest friend, Julio, for offering to start a Go Fund Me on our behalf, and for writing such beautiful and touching words about Angel, especially during a time when we could barely speak or write in our grieving process. We want to bring our Angel home, and in time have a special private memorial for all of our family and close friends. As stated, “Any funds received above what is needed for final arrangements will be evenly distributed to her two sons, who remain with us and need our love and support more than ever.
~ ❤️ ~
