Angelo Duran needs your help on his journey towards recovery

On October 4th 2023 Angelo was in line for student pickup when he observed a teen clutching a gun at his waist walking in front of his suv, the teen then appeared to start chasing another teenager behind his vehicle. He then proceeded to follow the teen in his car and found him standing alone, in a black mask, and black clothing he rolled his window down and asked the teen if he had a weapon, the teen answered no and sprinted off. Angelo didn't hesitate, he knew he needed to help. He parked his vehicle at the Pizza Hut where the teen ran behind he then hopped over a fence and confronted the teen, once more and Angelo pursued him again when without warning the teen turned arround and shot Angelo 4 times. Angelo hit the ground and tried to pop back up and pursue the teen once more but learned his legs worked no more. Angelo was hit by the bullets in multiple places but the bullet stuck in his spine is causing his paralysis. He has no feeling in his legs and it is not known if he will walk again. He is a hero for all the children's lives as well as parents he protected as school was just releasing. That is the kind of man, father, son and friend he is! Always putting others first.

Angelos best hope of walking again is stem cell therapy, he is actively looking for an Anesthesiologist to help and he is also asking for donations for the therapy’s tremendous prices as they are not covered by his insurance. The family business relies heavily on Angelo and this has devastated him financially He has a long recovery ahead of him and it will continue to be very difficult to support himself and his 3 year old son Gianni, Not to mention the medical bills which have continued to come in.
