Angels for Atlin & Reydian

Friends, Family, and Community -

This money is being raised is to directly benefit Atlin and Reydian, the daughters of Krista Lambier and Jerry (Ched) Dunham, to support their most basic needs during this time of great difficulty and sadness.  

This family has been devastated by Ched's recent and sudden passing.  Ched was scheduled for heart surgery that was to take place in April, but it was cancelled due to COVID-19. Tragically, this lead to Ched's untimely death and devastation for his family.

As most of you will understand, the passing of a loved one comes with tremendous grief, loss, and extreme sadness.  On top of the emotional turmoil is the unavoidable financial stress of the situation, compounded by inevitable and necessary time away from work.  

Ched and Krista have not lived a privileged life, so the cost of a life insurance policy that would be sufficient enough to cover all of the most basic needs of those left behind was always out of reach.  Krista is self-employed, and Ched was not working due to health issues, so neither she nor Ched have benefits that would help right now.  

Krista has been working tirelessly to provide for her children over the years but, with Ched's passing, she will be unable to put her full attention into her business for the next while.  This reality is a devastating blow to the family's financial situation, making it extremely difficult for Krista to provide for the most basic needs of her children.  

Krista is a devoted mother and an extremely generous and caring human being.  Despite the fact that she and her family have survived on a limited budget, Krista always gives freely and generously to others in need and never asks for anything in return.  It is because Krista won't ask for help that we have created this campaign - Krista would never ask, so we are asking for her.  

Funds are desperately needed right away to help this family, and we know it would mean the world to Krista and her girls to receive any amount of support possible.  

Words cannot express how much gratitude we have for those who donate to help this family during their time of need. Krista is one of the most powerful creators of community whom we know. Let’s all come together now to hold her and her girls up in their time of pain and sadness.

UPDATE:

As most of you know, Krista, her two girls, and all of Ched’s family are living through a horrifying experience, all due to mismanagement within our healthcare system. Many other families are also grieving tragic losses because loved ones were denied critical care.  It’s sickening and it needs to stop.  We all deserve truthful answers.

I had originally set up a Go Fund Me campaign for Krista to help her and her girls during this extremely difficult time.  Although the original goal amount was reached early on, I’m keeping the campaign active to help Krista with the expenses that will be accumulating while she fights for justice in Ched’s name, and in honour of all others deeply affected by this situation.  

I'm so grateful to all who have donated and/or shared this campaign.
