Angels Life Village for Stray Animals

Melekler Yaşam (Angels Life) Village has been a nursing home for stray animals since 2005 ... It has a capacity of 200 dogs and 80 cats on a 2 thousand m2 land that has not been supported for years.
- The biggest problem of the feeding groups is to find and treat injured animals in the areas far away from the settlements and leave them to the area where they are located. In addition, the number of stray animals getting sick due to traffic accidents, injuries and natural causes is quite high in the city centers.
- The condition of street animals that are old, disabled or exposed to human violence (being shot, beaten, cremated, etc.) that cannot survive outside is also a priority.
Melekler Yaşam Village was born at this point. The organization, which we had to do every time to send the paralyzed, disabled and elderly stray animals to the big cities with the clinic, hostel and transportation fees, was becoming inconvenience. Because there was no shelter in Adana and its surroundings where we could collect and care for paralyzed and old stray animals belonging to volunteers. State shelters were far from being solution centers that we preferred to send stray animals that require special care due to poor shelter conditions.
We would like to have at least a part of this land we own, a home for street animals that cannot survive alone, some for the injured to be completed and left again, and some for puppies. Thus, we aimed to make cats and dogs a nice area to live comfortably, full, warm and healthy. On the way we set out as two people, the number of volunteers who come to part-time help and support is ten.
Naturally, although our main goal is to care for the existing animals in Melekler Yaşam Village, we also aim to ensure that the street animals in need of care in a separate section spend the rest of their lives more comfortable and livable.
We try to keep Melekler Yaşam Village alive with the local organizations we organize and donations of a limited number of people. Over 100 kilograms of dry food in a day is among our precise and first priority expenses. In addition to food, the clinical costs of street animals we treat are quite high.
Despite all its deficiencies, Melekler Yaşam Köyü has provided 90 street animals in 6 months to complete the healing process successfully, and has led to the healthy growth of many offspring.
We need more support to achieve better and ensure the continuity of what we do for street animals.
Let's not forget that they are alive if we are aware.
