Angels for Adyson

Most of you know us as Mortgage Solutions of Georgia. You most often speak with Dave or Christian. However, "Little Debbie" as we love to call her, is our hard working Processor that makes sure your loan gets to the closing table. That is why we are asking for any contribution you can give, big or small. Not only is Debbie vital to our company, she is also like family. We are one big family here at MSOGA, and now is the time one of our own needs all the help she and her family can get. Watching their youngest son battle a life threatening disesase and make it through a transplant, only to fight for his life after contracting a fungal infection out of anyones control. Please, PLEASE read Adyson's story and keep him in your thoughts, prayers, and heart along with the entire Harrah family.
Many of you have heard about the battle Adyson Harrah, who just turned 18 on September 3rd has faced the last 3 months. Pretty much every single day of this upcoming Hillgrove High School senior's summer was spent at the hospital. He is not only a talented band member, but also a genius. Adyson carries one the highest GPAs in his grade, was in all AP classes, and was scheduled to start college classes early. However this past June, all of this changed in a blink of an eye when he was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. This disease is extremely rare and the cause of the disease is completely unkown. The disease prevented his Bone Marrow from producing blood cells. Even through many intense Chemo treatments this sweet boy kept a smile on his face and had all his nurses and doctors laughing while cracking jokes. After many long and painful treatments, the only option left was a bone marrow transplant. Both of Adyson's siblings, Alycia and Austyn, were tested. Alycia came back as a PERFECT match! Just a few short weeks ago, big sis Alycia traveled home to Georgia, all the way from Mapa, Huehuetenango in Guatemala where she is Executive Director of an amazing orphanage run by Story International. On August 18, 2016, the transplant was successful. Adyson was on his way to (slow) recovery. Again, despite the pain from transplant, he once again kept a smile on his face.
However, 2 days ago this all changed when Adyson was diagnosed with a fungal infection. He has undergone numerous surgeries and as of this evening, they have had to remove his eye to keep the infection from spreading to his brain. Even after this, his battle is not over. He will still likely face many more operations to ensure the infection is not spreading any further. Once his immune system is built up from the bone marrow transplant, and he fights off this infection, he still has 60 more days in the hospital and up to 6 months in the Ronald MacDonald House in near isolation while he heals, and that is if there are no complications.
We are reaching out to all the wonderful Angels we know to seek some support for Adyson and his family. Even if you have never met this sweet boy, please consider donating the cost of your morning Starbucks. Any donation, big or small, will help not only with Adyson's mounting medical bills, but also for Debbie and Rick. They have raised 3 of the most loving, selfless kids. Right now is critcal for them to be at Adyson's side every moment of the day. Which means no more vacation days, sick days, or pay for missing work. They used up all of those before transplant day when trying to treat Adyson the last 3 months. Any donation would mean more than you could possibly know to this close knit family. They are going through the biggest medical crisis of their lives right now and their son is fighting to stay alive.
Even if you are unable to donate, a prayer and a share means more than you know!
