Let's help Angie keep fighting her battle!

On July 17th, 2023, Angie was diagnosed with stage 4a liver cancer. After four rounds of immunotherapy infusions and one round of a targeted radiation treatment, doctors determined that the tumor had not shrunk but had grown. On November 7th the doctors started Angie on Cabozantinib - a chemo pill.
Being the fighter she is, Angie decided to get a second opinion from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. On November 15th Angie set off for Houston. Her friend Jada was kind enough to travel along and assist - as Angie requires a wheelchair to get around. Her first appointment was the next day and she stayed there for tests for the next 7 days. It was determined that Angie’s cancer is of an unknown origin and the specialists referred her to an internal medicine oncologist and the Cancer of Unknown Primary Tumor Group or CUP. Cancer of unknown primary is challenging because it tends to be aggressive and often spreads to many parts of the body before it is found. Angie will be heading back to Texas soon for another consultation, perhaps more tests, for doctors to come up with a treatment plan.
Angie is mother to two boys, Zach and Phillip. She is a valued employee of Trimble, Inc. where she has worked for over 9 years. She is an avid sports fan with a passion for college sports. Angie was an enthusiastic bowler but now is competitive in Guitar Hero and loves playing bingo. She also loves going to the theater and binge watching her favorite shows.
As Angie's friends, we decided to start this GoFundMe to help support Angie and her family as costs for appointments, travel, and medication are mounting.
Please keep Angie, her family and everyone involved throughout this process in your thoughts and prayers!
