Angie Moran's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
One of our own here at Dachshund Delights is in need.
Angie Moran, who has worked as a seamstress for us for 17 years, has been in the hospital for close to 3 weeks. She had surgery on Feb. 7 in an attempt to treat achalasia (an esophageal motility disorder). Due to complications, her hospital stay has gone well beyond the expected few days. She is still fighting and we are unsure how much longer her hospital stay will be. Even when she does come home, it will be a long time before she will be able to return to work.
Angie has been unable to swallow anything more than liquid for most of the past year. It took numerous doctor visits and medical tests to get to the point of surgery. She lost a dangerous amount of weight during this ordeal. But through it all, she continued to work for us, making harnesses and beds. She refused to have the surgery until after our hectic Christmas season was over.
She has been a dedicated employee and she herself has 3 dachshunds. She dotes on the workshop pack (her favorite being Anastasia, our 9-lb mini wirehair) and helps care for them as if they were her own.
If you've ever purchased any of our custom-made products, chances are Angie had a hand in making it.
We are establishing this GoFundMe account to help her with the mounting medical expenses.
Any amount will help. If you would prefer to send a check ... or even just a card of encouragement... you can send to us here at Dachshund Delights.

Ordering from our website will also help us provide her with additional sick days. www.dachshunddelights.com (we make custom-fit products for other breeds, too).
Thank you from all of here at Dachshund Delights
Angie with her beloved Elwood.
Anastasia paid a visit to her Aunt Angie in the hospital.
