What’s Happening Now with Angie’s Cancer Battle

Thank you, friends and family, for all of your prayers, encouragement and support from my original diagnosis to now. Your prayers and support were instrumental in achieving remission during my first active treatment cycle from 2016-2017 and I am so very grateful. Unfortunately, the remission has ended and the cancer is active again. The cancer has become metastatic, meaning that it has spread throughout the body. Once cancer reaches the metastatic phase the goal is no longer cure , but management or temporary remission. Treatment from here on out will be directed at hopefully extending the lifespan prognosis  from months to years. The treatment protocols that my doctors have suggested are very depleting and come with a cornucopia of side effects and secondary complications  and illnesses that can arise from the drugs being used.

What I Did Before

In 2016 I elected to have a double mastectomy but to use holistic treatments rather than chemotherapy or radiation. I had enormous success with the holistic treatment protocol. Prior to my surgery the cancer growth had halted and a thermograph and blood tests indicated that there was no longer any active cancer in my body. The goal of holistic treatment is to boost the immune system and maximize its own mechanisms for eradicating cancer cells. Everyone has cancer cells in their body every day, but the immune should eliminate these before they become a problem if it is working properly.

My Plan for the Upcoming Treatment Cycle

Although, ideally, I would like to pursue a chemotherapy-free regiment this time around, the complications that accompany where the cancer has begun to grow are life-threatening without significant intervention.  The cancer itself steals nutrition from the body, the chemotherapy side-effects are also nutrition depleting, they drop your white blood cells counts, and decrease appetite all of which impair your immune system’s function.

I am seeking to combine the best of what I have learned about alternative treatment with the best of what I have learned traditional treatment. The alternative treatment strategies that have the greatest impact include super nutrition and high-dose vitamin C intravenous treatment. However, these are very expensive, are not covered by insurance, and will be in addition to medical costs. My hope is to not have to choose between optimal care for my body and traditional treatment because of finances. So that is where you come in.

How You Can Help

Many of you have messaged me asking how you can help and I know that is a genuine and heartfelt desire. So after giving thought to what kind of help I need I decided to start this page to help communicate the type of aid that I most desire and create an opportunity for people to help in the way that they feel led.

How I would use this funding:
