Angie's Cancer Battle
Donation protected
My name is Terri English Garmon and I am setting up this page for my precious moma, Angie English, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma, a bone marrow cancer. Back on December 8, 2017, she fell in the snow and was taken to the ER. It wasn’t a horrible fall, for a normal person, you might have had a couple of bruises or been sore, but not moma. They found that she had a broken shoulder, fractured ribs, and fractures on her vertebrae, it’s like the fall completely shattered her. The doctors saw some concerns with her x-rays and blood work. A slew of doctor visits followed, as well as several tests including a PET scan and a bone marrow biopsy. My sweet moma was officially diagnosed with cancer on December 28, 2017. She had her first Chemo treatment on January 4, 2018, with several treatments to follow, and then she will have a bone marrow/stem cell transplant at Emory, where there are Myeloma specialists. We have already had several bumps in the road along the way and several more tests (MRI, ultrasounds, X-rays, etc.). She is in a wheelchair and uses a walker some, as it is very painful for her to walk. When she’s having a really awesome day, she can walk a little with minimal pain.
She has not been able to work since December 8, 2017, and she has very minimal insurance (basically none), her insurance doesn’t even cover her prescriptions. My parents are having to cover all of the medical costs as self-pay and they are adding up quickly. We are even having issues scheduling her consultation at Emory due to lack of insurance.
I have watched my parents work hard my entire life for everything that they have and in the blink of an eye, Moma’s health is gone and their life savings are quickly being depleted. I hate to see my parents stress over finances when they have enough on their plate as it is. I'm trying to do anything to ease the financial burden for them.
I have bracelets for sale for $2 each to help with funds also!! I have adult & youth sizes.
If you can donate, that would be awesome, but we just ask that you keep us in your prayers! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
