Angie's Fight: Paralysis and Home at Risk

I am putting aside my pride in starting this fundraiser. Eleven years of bad luck and devastating health issues has brought us to the point of despair.

I have not been able to work since 2013 when I had a life changing pneumonia which resulted in several years of recovery from a weakened heart.

Angie's work became our primary source of income.

Neuropathy, Diabetes and a rare disease called Erythro Melalgia have devastated me. Erythro Melalgia is a rare neuro-vascular/immune disorder which causes my skin to burn from the inside out with crippling pain and inflammation. It covers my entire head, in my ears, neck, arms, feet, upper chest back. There is no cure or defined treatment. There are countless triggers so I spend every day and night practicing prevention and recovery by using cold towels, constant cold air and avoidance of heat sources, etc. It is worse than you can imagine. At times I scream because the pain is so severe. Imagine being baked in an oven every day.

Angie's income was vital. In December of 2022 she broke her neck in a car acccident. She is permanently paralyzed from the neck down. After two years in a constant care facility she is now able to breath without assistance and eat by mouth. She wants desperately to come home. Unfortunately we may not hace a home to come home to.

Our fixed income has been $1.248,00 per month since June of 2023. Our rent is $1,450.00 and bills cost an additional $700+. I have been using our savings to cover our losses but after using approximtely $14,000.00 of that savings we are within a few months of being completely broke and possibly homeless.

I applied for Sectiom 8 but we are many months or more away from of getting on the short list. We desparately need money to keep our family together. Without donations it is inevitable that I will need to move in with family a thousand miles away in Tennessee. Angie won't be able to come home and my absence will devastate her.
