Angie’s legal expenses after attack

On Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, my friend Angie was attacked at her place of employment. A customer made hate filled and derogatory remarks about Angie before spitting in her face, striking her with a fist and shoving Angie to the ground. Two days later, the company which Angie worked for then terminated HER, citing that she failed to de-escalate the situation. Angie was a staple at our local pet supply store for the last 15 years. She has helped countless numbers of rescue animals in her time there, constantly working to hold pet fairs, food drives and vendor events. She is one of our community’s most generous and docile members. She is well loved and highly respected. No one can understand her termination after a hate crime was committed against her.
