Anguilla Hurricane Relief Fund -TLC
Donation protected
We (a group of Anguillians living in the U.S.A) are raising money to help rebuild the Tender Loving Care (TLC) Nursing Home in Anguilla. TLC houses elderly and disabled people in Anguilla.
Due to the severe damage caused by Hurricane Irma, TLC residents were moved from their nursing home to a private residence. The home has lost its roof and has suffered intense structural damage. It is at the moment, unlivable.
Like TLC, Hurricane Irma has damaged or devastated just about all the homes, businesses, and institutions in Anguilla. Severe damage was done to the schools, the only hospital on the island, and many churches. Nothing was spared from this monster hurricane. And, many of the homes do not have home insurance. Places like TLC need so much help to rebuild and we are happy to donate towards the rebuilding of this elderly home. We ask for your donation in any amount possible, because every cent counts.
Anguilla is only 35 square miles with a population of 15,000. It is heartbreaking to see the severe damage that has been caused by Hurricane Irma. See some footage here . Not to mention, that Anguillians actually depend on tourism to survive, so with damages so severe, it is hard to imagine how the people of Anguilla will survive in this upcoming season.
