Anighus Road to Recovery

O
On September 16th around 2:30 A.M., our world fell apart after receiving a phone call that no parent should or would ever expect to receive. I was informed that our eighteen-year-old son, a freshman student attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, had collapsed secondary to cardiac arrest. His roommates called 911 and performed CPR until the emergency medics arrived. He was transferred to a local hospital but after being evaluated by the emergency room physicians and undergoing testing, we were informed that he had gone into cardiac arrest twice and was transported to the Heart Center in Forth, Worth Texas, a trauma center, where he could receive a higher level of care by cardiologists and personnel who specialize in treating heart conditions. He remains hospitalized in CCU at this time.
It is extremely hard for us to explain the emotions we have felt this past week. Our soldier is a fighter, he has always been a happy, tender, loving boy, who touches the hearts of everyone around him. Anighus is a recent high school graduate from Hirschi High School, where he was an athlete and basketball team manager.
We do not have a clear picture of what his future entails for now; however, we realize that with any unexpected medical crisis that Anighus endures, there will be major financial expenses for him and his family. On behalf of his parents, we ask that you consider donating to this Go Fund Me account to support the family emotionally, physically, and financially to defray medical costs and expenses during Anighus’ time of recovery. If We Can Help Someone Along the Way, Our Living Will Not Be in Vain.
Respectfully,
