ANIKA JANZ RIP

Donation protected
On behalf of the family:

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved daughter, Anika Janz on October 19,2020. Born in Paraguay on April 21, 2006 to Cristian and Cynthia Janz, Anika grew up in Abbotsford, BC where she attended first Ten Broek Elementary, Ross Elementary, MEI Middle and then Eugene Reimer Middle School before entering Rick Hansen High School as a Freshman this year.

Anika was only 14 years old and a lover of the arts and enjoyed listening and playing music and reading and writing stories. She was participating in her PE class at the Rick Hansen High School when she suddenly collapsed. All life-sustaining attempts to save Anika’s life were in vain and she died.

Anika brought so much love and joy in our lives and to those who were around her. She was an incredible girl that loved outdoor activities and our annual camping trips.

Anika will always be remembered for her gentleness, grace and kindness toward others. She always seemed to look out after others and would put others before herself.

Since she was a young girl one of our greatest joys was to make her laugh because it truly came from her soul.

A true humanitarian, a true example to live by, and a precious gift from God! The way she carried herself reminded us of how the bible talks of “God’s Will.”

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Anika is survived by her adoring parents, Cristian and Cynthia Janz, her loving sister Natalie and her loving brother Matthew as well as many family members and dear friends. Her presence will be sorely missed.

At this time the devastated family is asking for privacy. The Burial and Memorial service will be on Oct. 30 by invitation only but there will be a live stream available as well for the public. Once the details are clear we will update this post.

We are starting a Go Fund Me page to help alleviate some of the burden this incredible family has already incurred to help with funeral expenses and the purchase of a tombstone. If we reach above our goal we would like to donate the rest of the funds to the South Abbotsford Church.
