Animal Cruelty- Stella was severely beaten

Hi everyone. My sister’s dog Stella was being watched by a dog sitter while she was out of town. It is doubtful we will ever know the true story of what exactly transpired in the apartment as Stella can’t tell us, however from what we have pieced together, we know that the sitter was very drunk and was trying to give Stella her medicine and said he had to “force” the pill down her throat. He said that Stella bit him (she is a very calm dog and has never bitten anyone in her life). What we do know is that he beat her within an inch of her life. The veterinarian said that Stella was hit in the face so hard it caused a torn retina. She has five broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a fractured pelvis . There is evidence that she was thrown into the wall as pictures were all crooked. The vet said it was a very clear case of animal abuse snd that she was likely kicked and thrown multiple times. She is in terrible pain and is having trouble breathing. She is the most precious dog. She has always been very gentle. My sister has filed charges but the veterinarian bills are mounting as it necessitated an emergency visit in the middle of the night and multiple visits including overnight stays as Stella was fighting for her life. She is not completely out of the woods yet and we are asking for financial assistance to help save her life.
