Mr. Chris P Bacon Fund @ Animal Flower Cave Farm
Hey everyone,
This is the CaveWoman here, Sue, from the Animal Flower Cave in Barbados. We are a tourism attraction, a restaurant and we have a farm too. Our family lives on the property and ownsand manages this gorgeous cliff top location atthe most Northern part of the island.
We really don’t like having to ask for help, it’s not in the nature of the Cave People but enough is enough.
We have barely limped through COVID, enduring several lockdowns and of course the decimation of our tourism industry. Then a volcano erupted in neighboring St Vincent and dumped tons of ash on us. That was a 3 week clean up and closure.
And just when the Uk had put us on their green list and we were starting to hope our luck had turned, along came Hurricane Elsa who ripped us apart and we just can’t anymore.
The Restaurant is insured but our farm is not and we really need to rebuild secure pens and fences for our farm animals. We have many pets here from bulls to sheep, pigs and goats… All hand raised with love ❤️
So, this is the Chris P Bacon Fund, in honor of our beloved big fat pig
If you can help in anyway, however small, we would be eternally grateful.
We really do need your help to continue, we REALLY hate to ask but pride never got anyone anywhere…
The Animal Flower Cave has been family owned and run for nearly 100 years now and is one of the most loved spots here in Barbados.
We would love to be able to continue on and our farm is a major part of who we are and what we do.
We love our animals, we would love to be able to rebuild them a much more secure shelter to keep them safe through whatever else nature wants to throw at us(This is the Cow Pen roof that blew clean off)
Thank you ❤️
Sue & Mannie Ward
