Animal Rescue & Fire relief Kangaroo Island

Shout out to offshore Family and Friends

We are all aware of the devastating bush fires burning around Australia and the suffering of our native wildlife. (Wal) David McGinty has created this Go Fund Me page to raise funds to purchase required items, donate items and to  help out directly and physically in a volunteer capacity at Kangaroo Island. 

During his time on the island he is looking at helping with
aid in watering, feeding and rescue of injured animals/wildlife as well as
assisting organisations in repairing and rebuilding fencing and buildings. Money raised will fund tools, equipment and supplies required to help the people and animals of Kangaroo Island whose lives have been devastated by the the fires.

Wal would also like to ask for the following donations to take with him. If anyone has the following items they would be gratefully received;
all sizes of orange High Vis vests, as volunteers are required to wear these whilst helping out. Currently in very short supply on island of Small sizes, along with any fencing tools and equipment eg, gloves, chainsaws you have in good condition.

For those of you who would like to follow Wal's journey to help, he will be updating the page regularly with photos and videos of the volunteer work he and others will be involved in. Every little bit counts and will be gratefully received. 

Wal will start the journey to Kangaroo Island tomorrow afternoon (3rd February).
