Animal Rescuer in Need of Rescue!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cindie Ambar, and I first met Elizabeth in 2014. This was a happy time in her life when she opened a non-profit horse rescue, Red’s Equines in Need Sanctuary - REINS. She and her live-in partner had moved to the ranch in 2013.
Elizabeth is also the President of Ridgebacks in Need, California (RINCAL) and has been directly responsible for the rescue of more than 3,000 dogs in the 32 years she has run the rescue for ridgebacks. She is an extraordinary human being to whom many animals owe their lives.
Moving forward to 2021, her partner suddenly rejected her and forced her to move to an area below their home. This was a stark cold section of an old veterinary hospital loaded with rats and other vermin.
He formally evicted her in 2022 when she could not find a place to live. Her daughter Tabitha, originally invited to live on the property by the ex during the Covid period, has also been also evicted. He has since filed suit in the superior court for rent owed by both Elizabeth, his now ex-lover and Tabitha who was invited by the partner to live there. They lived as a family unit on a property they all shared and enjoyed.
Elizabeth is medically fragile (a disabled senior citizen) and now has no home, nor can she change her driver’s license, bank accounts and any legal documents without an address. Her own horses are in a rescue. Her now ex-partner, who is quite well off, has not given and does not plan to give her a cent even though she meets the criteria for palimony. Elizabeth needs funds to hire an attorney and get what rightfully belongs to her.
Her ex has many personal belongings of hers, in addition to kennels and equipment that were donated to and are the property of REINS and RINCAL. She has been treated cruelly, and the ex-partner has been extremely vindictive in multiple ways. She is afraid of him, as she should be at this point.
Please share this fundraiser widely, and if you can, donate. She needs support to bring a palimony case and get what is rightfully hers. By donating to this fundraiser, you are also supporting her in continuing to rescue dogs and horses!
