Anita Cashion & Family

Donation protected
In January 2022, my beautiful sister, Anita, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as Ewing’s Sarcoma. For 12 months Anita underwent a grueling treatment plan and chemotherapy regime, including major surgery in Melbourne.

After being declared cancer free late last year and finishing chemotherapy in January, Anita’s cancer returned in March. This time it is too aggressive to beat.

Anita is a 35 year old mother of three beautiful children, Hayley, Hannah-Kate, and William, and wife to Josh. She is the primary earner for her family. She works at a Tasmanian Primary school alongside Josh, who is a Teacher Assistant.

Anita is a passionate and driven teacher, who has dedicated her professional life to creating and driving programs that support the wellbeing of young Tasmanians. Throughout her entire battle with cancer she has continued to dedicate herself to her work with an unbelievable sense of positivity and drive.

She has already been off work for over 12 months and with her terminal prognosis will not be returning to work. The loss of income now and into the future will take an extreme financial toll on her young family.

Many friends, family members and colleagues of Anita’s have reached out seeking ways to best support her and her family. After consideration, we believe the best way to support Anita, Josh and the kids is to provide direct financial relief during this immediate and upcoming period of uncertainty and grief.

All funds raised will go to Josh and the kids for the immediate funeral costs, living arrangements and to allow them time to prepare for a future without their wife and mother.

On behalf of Anita, Josh, Hayley, Hannah-Kate, and William, your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated.
