My co-worker and friend got stuck helping her daughter move; they’re a long way from family and friends. Please read and share if you can.

From Anna:

“Hi Everyone. My daughter and I had planned this trip as a mother/daughter road trip. It was supposed to be a fun adventure to Fort Lewis, WA (her new duty station). We knew we might run into some flurries but the weather changed drastically from flurries to snow to ice and up to 60 mph wind gusts in almost a blink of an eye.

It caused us many scares when we began to slip a little but the worst was after we slipped and was 5 feet away from the guard rail on a big hill. Right after that terrifying incident another one occurred minutes later and we ended up getting hit by another vehicle. That was when we decided that this was it for us.

Right now we have been at a Super 8 hotel for 3 days straight and counting. Driving is no longer an option for us so we are hoping to raise money to get the car and U-Haul shipped and then we will fly out to Washington from Billings, Montana.
