What makes an Earth Angel can be summed up in one name.  Anna Marie Orr. Beloved daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, Anna is mother to Bayleigh, Jaylynn, Brooklyn, and Jack. She is also grandmother to 18 month-old Jackson Elliott who adores her, and her daughter is expecting a baby girl in November. 

Unexpectedly diagnosed at age 36 with cancer the first time nearly seven years ago, and seemingly successfully treated in the Pacific Northwest, Anna, and her family moved to Texas in the Spring of 2018. One year later, in 2019, cancer returned, again treated, recurred for the third time in September 2020, and UPDATE - cancer has recurred again in less than a year - May 2021. The shock of another diagnosis has been overwhelming and devastating. Catching her and her entire family off guard both emotionally and financially.

Her doctor has told her this cancer is fast-growing and must be removed as quickly as possible.  Waiting is not an option, her life may depend on it, and the medical center is asking for payment in full prior to all treatments. 

For those of you who know Anna personally, you will know she is not only beautiful on the outside, but her faith in God, her love for Jesus, and her kindness and generosity to others make her beautiful on the inside as well.  Anna spent nearly ten years granting wishes to terminally ill breast cancer patients; making a difference in their lives, giving families opportunities to spend moments together, doing things they might never have been able to do without her planning and orchestration. Now I’m hoping her compassion for others will be returned. My fervent wish is to show her that she is loved and treasured by family and friends and that even those who do not know her, will be touched to help her and her family get through this difficult time.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for her surgery and follow-up treatments, it’s most importantly my way of asking for your prayers on her behalf.  UPDATE: The dollar amount you see raised of $5445 were gifts given for her treatment 8 months ago, prior to the May 2021 diagnosis.  Any amount you see over and above the $5445 posting to this page now will reflect the current fundraiser for her treatments. 

Knowing how Covid-19 has undermined so many financially if you are unable to donate, we understand, but please take a moment to remember her in your prayers, and leave her an encouraging message if you have a moment to do so.  Knowing Anna, it will mean the world to her.
