Anna & Rassie - Flood Rebuild
This is and was my dad and step mums dream property.
Hakuna Matata they named it - It means no worries, and thats the outlook they have had since they bought the bare piece of land and made it a home.
The years they have put into builidng it what it is.
The shed (home) now finally complete!
My dad and step mum loved the land so much, they even got married on the island they built (Shrek's Swamp) as my dad calls it!
The love they have put into Hakuna Matata (The farm) has all now been destroyed by the 2017 Queensland Cyclone Debbie. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03-31/cyclone-debbie-bom-warnings-logan-jambin-evacuation/8403360
After months and months of dryness and drought on the farm, wishing for a little bit of rain for the animals and veggie garden, came this horriffic storm.
The BBQ - one of the loves of his life
My dad is never one to ask for help but always the first to put his hand up to help others, so I would like some support to help give back to both him and my step mum to help them rebuild their much loved home from such a devastating flood.
Not only is Hakuna Matata important & valuble to them but also to us children and grandchildren, friends and other family :) Lots of great memories have been made on the farm. When you go there, its like nothing in the world matters, its tranquil, its a happy place... its a place of no worries... its Hakuna Matata.
Dads 50th on the farm :)

A man in his element
Fortunately, no one was injured, and property can be replaced. Our family is still intact, and that is all that matters., but I ask, please help with a small donation towards accommodation, food, supplies and to rebuilld this beautiful place to what it once was!
Thank you all for your generosity.
