Anna’s Army

Donation protected

Anna and Jeff have been like many young couples - ambitious, optimistic, and excited for their future. They’ve secured good jobs, bought a home together, and looked forward to their future with their beautiful daughter Ophelia.

On Saturday, March 18, Anna Snell woke up with severe numbness in her legs and abdomen. Upon medical evaluation, she was quickly taken in for emergency surgery. Anna underwent a 9 hour long procedure to remove a large tumor that was entangled in her spine. The surgery was a success, however her spine was severely compromised, and they had to remove vertebrae and implant rods to compensate. At this time she has been left with paralysis in her right leg.

Anna was moved to a rehab facility today, and the long hard road to recovery begins. At this time, we don’t know the exact diagnosis of the tumor, but we all remain optimistic.

They have a very devoted extended family. Their parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and others have been helping make sure Ophelia has been well taken care of while Jeff and her parents have been by her side. However, this may be a long haul, and additional assistance may be needed.

Their future is uncertain. At this moment we are unsure how much she will regain, and we want them to be prepared to retrofit their home if needed. At the very least, there will be many financial challenges ahead. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
