Anna Willis (Letalien) Domestic Violence Victim

Hello my name is Christy Mitchell, I am Anna's sister, Anna needs our help. On August 8th at 3:30 am in Decatur, AL Anna was viciously attacked by her husband. While sleeping Anna was doused with an ignitable fluid and lit on fire. She suffers from 3rd degree burns over 50% of her body, and is in the trauma 1 burn unit in Birmingham Alabama. Anna is currently in a medically induced coma and is receiving life saving care from the trauma team. Her children Courtney and Cameron are there with her trying to make sense of a senseless crime. I am in route to be with her to offer support and love during her recovery. Anna has lost her belongings due to a fire that ensued after the attack. Her children do not live local and are dependent upon hotels and eating out. This was an act of domestic violence of the most horrific nature. We must stand with her and lift her up through prayer and financial support. Anna has a long road to recovery and is not out of the woods.

Please find it in your heart to help us raise funds for her when she is ready to start over. It is our hope and our goal to provide not only financial assistance but also to offer her love and support of the greatest kind.

UPDATE*****AS of August 12, 2023 Anna is now out of the medically induced coma. She is heavily sedated with anxiety and pain meds. Anna is making facial expressions and reacting to stimilus. They have not done anymore surguries out of precaution and she is scheduled for Monday for her next one. A feeding tube will be placed. Anna is no where near out of the woods and the concern for infection is huge. However, we are so happy with the progress that has been made. UAB hospital has been exceptional. Anna's assailant is being held without bond or bail and it is not according to the judge in societys best interest to have him free. I am still in Alabama with my brother and her daughter and daughters husband. They will all be leaving tomorrow and I will be here alone with my sister. Please continue to pray for my safety and her recovery. We are hoping that the swelling will continue to go down and she can open her eyes soon.

Anna is going into surgury this morning. She is going to be debreeded and have a feeding tube placed. I have uped the goal to 15k. LETS DO THIS!!! Thank you everyone for your donations. I appreciate this more than words.

My mom and I are moving into Red Mountain Grace apartments, her social worker and the apartment people have been instrumental in making this happen. Thank you to everyone. Instead of paying for hotels we are only going to pay 10$ per day for rent. Such a relief.

UPDATE*** Annas wounds have mostly been excised. Hopefully start grafting next week. Pleases continue to pray <3
