Hello My name is Sarah. Mother of 3 beautiful children.

A week ago today my husband and I had the biggest scare of my life! I found my 11 year old daughter unresponsive. This has started a whirlwind of events for my husband and I. She was rushed by EMS to St. Vincent Er. Multiple test were ran. Came to find out she had to have emergency brain surgery from a sinus infection that spread to her brian,and we also found she had a Chiari( malformation of Brian tissue) that enlarged and was pressing on her spinal cord. The surgeons had to go in and decompress it. They also think guillan barre syndrome was brought on by these events. She was on a ventilator for 5 days. She has come along way in a week which we are so grateful for! They say what happened to her is one in a million. She will have to do have intense inpatient rehab, for her brain and body to relearn What to do. The time frame for this could be weeks, month, or years. My husband and are are really starting to feel the burden of the unknown. As we have 2 other children as well. We are asking if anyone could help relieve some of this by helping us out with medical treatment, rehab and medical equipment expenses. So we can get our sweet Annie back to her self. We are not the type to ask for help, but we are in desperate need of some relief from this trauma.
