Anna's Cheltenham Half Marathon Supporting PATA @ Winchcombe
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I have found that running has had a great impact on my health and wellbeing over the years and I have set myself the personal challenge of running the Cheltenham Half Marathon in September. To keep me on track with my training I have decided that I would like to raise money for the charity playgroup PATA @ Winchcombe Early Years.
I was very fortunate to have had many opportunities to learn and improve my singing skills during my childhood years and have performed in musicals and operas since. Prior to joining PATA @ Winchcombe Early Years I used my knowledge to teach music and movement classes to children knowing first hand how powerful these skills are in developing confidence, resilience, speech and language and literacy skills. I continue to promote the value of performing to children and would love to raise funds to support PATA @ Winchcombe to provide these opportunities too. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
PATA @ Winchcombe Early Years aim is for all children to benefit from positive experiences of education and childcare to promote the very best in their development, and encourage every child to reach their full potential. Parents are supported and children are nurtured from birth at our weekly Stay and Play sessions which are open to all. We further educate and nourish the minds of children from age 2 to school with our highly skilled practitioners providing an environment that enables exploration and learning through play. Furthermore, our two trained Forest School leaders, supported by the rest of the team extend learning in nature and through managing risk taking in our own Forest School.
Providing a rich environment for our children is a passion for us, which is why we are raising money to have a roof fitted to our stage to provide shade in the summer, shelter in the winter, and more importantly an outdoor space to develop literacy through story time, story acting and musical activities. Sadly, as the work has begun the stage has revealed that it is no longer fit for purpose and therefore needs to be fully rebuilt.
We are also creating a new gated garden area and adding a new door to the building which will allow children from both the playgroup and Stay and Play group to move between the Rising 3's room and the garden as they please. We are hoping to raise £1500.00 towards the cost of these improvements and would be extremely grateful for any donation you could make towards our goal. The team and children would like to say an enormous thank you to Anna and to you for supporting us at PATA @ Winchcombe Early Years.
