Anna’s medical journey

On behalf of my nieces mom, Aimee and my brother, Robert, I am creating this GoFund me in hopes to ease some of their medical/travel expenses for sweet little 9 year old Anna.

I'm coming to you all with a very sad and broken heart. I'm so uncomfortable right now to share this but my want and need for prayers supercedes that. Yesterday, we were given some news that is changing our trajectory in life. Anna has been diagnosed with cancer..a B cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. The last year, a bump appeared on the back of her head. It began to pick up speed in the spring and we took her to her pediatrician. The pediatrician referred us to a pediatric dermatologist. At that appointment a biopsy was done. Yesterday, the results of the pathologist came back with what I stated. The prognosis for this cancer is that there is an excellent 5 year survival rate . Her dad and I and the whole family are grateful for that but are still so scared for the journey to come. We will be getting ready to wage a battle...but we need our people to pray pray pray, please? We will know more Friday, but at this point it sounds like we will be heading out of state to begin aggressive treatment measures, soon, ie. testing, port, chemo, etc. At one point she will need to be inpatient.
