Restore the historical home of Anne & Carl Braden
Donation protected
Anne and Carl Braden were among the South’s most committed white supporters of racial justice, and 4403 Virginia Ave. in Louisville’s west end was their home for over half a century.
Amid the 2020 COVID economic collapse, the owners of the property now need help our maintaining this historic local treasure which has welcomed many 20th century justice heroes ranging from Rosa Parks to Angela Davis.
This money will go toward urgently needed improvements such as removing a dangerous tree, fixing the fence, leveling the foundation—& cleaning and refurbishing the historical marker that was placed there in 2008.
