Anne Frank Exhibit Fundraiser

Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl is a timeless story in our world's history. When Barbara Basile, the director of our Milanof-Schock Library, discovered that the Library could bring Anne to the community through the Reading and Writing with Anne Frank traveling exhibit, she jumped at the opportunity!

This unique display shares what books Anne read while hiding  with her family, what she wrote about in her diary and short stories, and there is a variety of pictures and family photos that have never been shared with the public. Barbara felt that the library was the perfect host for this exhibit - young and old alike appreciate Anne’s timely and inspiring messages, which we feel fortunate to bring to Pennsylvania for the first time.

With the help of some local sponsors, the Library was able to reserve the exhibit, and it is currently on display during regular library hours until March 9.  The display has attracted so much attention and appreciation from all ages that our expenses have run considerably higher than expected. We’ve had to print more educational materials and open the Library for special group visits. Despite the donations from the sponsors, we would could really use a little extra assistance to help fill in those gaps.
