Anne Louise Is Starting Over

Donation protected

Anne Louise is preparing to start over and needs our support. She has decided it would be wise to downsize and plans to start over by moving into a smaller apartment...

THE STORY OF OUR FRIEND IN NEED:

Anyone who has met Anne Louise knows that she is one of the kindest, funniest, most caring and generous people they've ever met.
On numerous occasions, Anne Louise has jumped in to help a friend in need. When I was dealing with health issues and had to leave work in 2014, Anne Louise and I became friends after she began inviting me over for weekly dinners where she would (oops) make "too much by accident" and send me home with a big Tupperware container full of food enough for dinner for the whole week. We bonded over our love for Jesus, sci-fi, sewing, and pets and she became one of my closest friends. This story is not unique to me. I'm not the only one she has done this for.

When I think of her kindness and generosity towards me during such a difficult time, I am reminded of the scripture in Matthew 25 that says, " For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'.... “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'  "

Over time Anne Louise has fostered or cared for many lost and broken souls- both human and furbaby and she never seems to stop giving when someone or something needs help.

But this time, she needs our help.

Anne Louise is preparing to start over and needs our support. Anne Louise has dealt with several compounding health issues in the past few years. Everything came to a peak about a week before her 60th birthday. In addition to several health issues that made life more difficult without support, the water heater in her rental home broke and flooded a large area of her home, doing a great amount of damage. The landlord, who lives outside of the country, unfortunately, has not been much help. Because her rental contract has become month to month, she is offered very little protection from the issues in her home. Because of the lack of response by her landlord, Anne Louise has been stuck trying to take care of the issues and clean up the home on her own, which at this point has reached beyond possible levels.

Anne Louise is preparing to hire a dumpster and a team to remove all her personal belongings that have come in contact with the mold (which is the majority of her things) and to help clean up the home, etc.

Anne Louise has decided it would be wise to downsize and plans to start over by moving into a smaller apartment which will also help to get her out from under her very high rent payment so she can focus on building more financial security and improve her health for the future.

The most difficult thing of all is that she has lost or has needed to rehome all but 3 of her dearly loved furbabies. The dogs are already in rescue and she's working desperately with a friend to find multiple cats' homes.

In the midst of all of this, she wound up in the hospital with the flu and pneumonia, then once she was ready to go back to work she was exposed to COVID-19 and had to quarantine. She believes she did not get the virus, thankfully and her health has improved somewhat but is hindered by the mold currently still affecting her breathing in the home.

The unfortunate result of the whole situation is that she cannot for her own health and safety continue to live in the home she is currently renting. However, the financial burden and the amount of required labor are also too heavy to bear alone.

In order for her to move out and move forward with her life, she needs our financial support.

Anne Louise expressed she is hesitant to share all of this information because she is overwhelmed by the numbers. She is concerned that people will also be too overwhelmed by these numbers and scared away. However, any amount of support, no matter the size- big or small- will help move her towards her goal of freedom to start over in a safer, cleaner, and healthier environment where she can focus on rebuilding her life, grow healthier, and move forward.

This is an opportunity to help a friend in need who has so many times been the help for those of us struggling through our own circumstances.

This may seem like an overwhelming number and an overwhelming need, but together we can help bear this burden so Anne Louise can start her new life.

All funds will be donated directly to Anne Louise Vreeman's bank account excluding GoFundMe fees. Please reach out to Anne Louise with any questions!

Thank you for your donation!

GoFundMe has placed a hold on releasing the funds with the following request:

"To ensure your account is approved for withdrawals, we ask that you include the following information in your campaign story:

Who you are and where you’re from
Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for
How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies"

Per GoFundMe Regulations to release funds I am updating this description to disclose the following:

- This fundraiser was started by Selena Marie Norris from Fort Worth Texas for Anne Louise Vreeman of Rogers, Arkansas.

- The description already includes this however to clarify our relationship- we are friends.

- Please see above break down regarding the need/how the funds will be spent. Some of this information is still being calculated and estimated, but in the meantime some of the needs are more urgent and the other information cant be obtained yet until Anne Louise can get into a new apartment, in order to have a place to stay while things are being cleaned up in her old place, etc.

- Regarding our withdrawal plan, Anne Louise would like to withdraw the current amount raised in order to take care of her most urgent needs and we will keep you updated on the rest as the total need is as yet unknown. It is very overwhelming for Anne Louise right now and we are working to try to focus on one step at a time. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

**I have updated the fundraiser photo in addition to this (we initially couldn't find a good photo and wanted to post quickly so I had used a photo of one of her dogs).

Thank you!
