Our family wants to thank everyone again for the generous donations and sharing of this fundraiser. Early yesterday morning Annie left this physical world behind and is now at peace. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.
Annie Catherine Collie, a strong, loving, and charismatic woman from Colonel Hill, Crooked Island, The Bahamas. Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she is loved by many family, friends, and neighbors alike.
Annie, or Catherine as she's affectionately known by many, has been battling Stage 4 Renal cancer for quite some time. With the overwhelming emotional support from family and friends, along with the strength of the Father God, she's kept strong in battling this ailment. What began as a mass on her right kidney has now both grown and proliferated to her lungs, liver, left kidney, and other parts of the body. Unfortunately due to her current prognosis, there are not many options available. Annie has been receiving at-home care since April 2021.
This disease has taken a lot from her but she still has some fight left through the constant, and unbearable pain. Her current condition has left her in a state that requires consistent medical attention, frequent drug administration, and her doctors are currently discussing options to improve her quality of life.
