Annual Appeal 2021
Saturday Academy is Equality Charter School’s new learning support and enrichment program, created to help offset learning loss during the COVID-19 pandemic and get scholars back on track in school. Our goal is to provide our scholars with the extra help needed to restore confidence and academic success.
In high school, 9th and 10th graders are invited to attend the program in order to help them earn the required credits during the fall & winter seasons, and to help them prepare for regents exams during the spring. Additionally, middle school scholars in grade 6 through 8 will also benefit from the Saturday Academy program by providing them with the additional support and help to enrich their skills in various areas such as mathematics, writing and reading.
This year, by donating to our 2021 Annual Appeal Fund, you’re ensuring that our Middle & High Schoolers Level Up, by not falling behind. Together we can continue to provide a meaningful education for all.
Thank you for supporting Equality Charter School.
About ECS:
Equality Charter School initially opened its doors in the fall of 2009 in the North Bronx to serve middle school students in Co-op City and Castle Hill neighborhoods. Since then, the school has steadily expanded its curriculum and grade offerings, but its primary mission has remained the same: to provide quality educational services to the sixth-through-twelfth grade students of community school district 8 & 11 in the Bronx and beyond. With an unparalleled success rate, Equality prepares students to achieve successful outcomes in college by focusing their attention on the integration of goal setting, critical thinking and problem solving skills. These journeys are further enriched by the diversity of its scholars and faculty, and by the continued support of their community and donors.
