The Annual David Josiah Lawson Coat Drive.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Charmaine lawson, I am the mother of David Josiah Lawson. My son was a student at Humboldt State University studying criminology. DJ was a student leader and an exceptional young man with a bright future. On April 15, 2017, he was viciously murdered at an off-campus party in Arcata. His murder still remains unsolved. I started the David Josiah Lawson annual coat drive to give back to those in need. I am proud to say that our coat drives have been extremely successful and we have helped so many unhoused with warm coats, sleeping bags, toiletries and food. However, we would like to expand our reach to more families in need in honor of my beloved son DJ. I travel from Southern California to Northern California monthly to meet with City officials and to hold vigils in order to aid in the capture of my son’s murderer. The monthly trips and coat drive supplies are very expensive, so any financial help would be greatly appreciated.
