Annual Turkey Drive & Giveaway

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, CenterPoint Baptist Church is gearing up for its Annual Turkey Giveaway. Last year with your support, during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, distributed over 500 turkeys and 500 boxes of fresh groceries to local families representing over $10,000.00 in raised donations. This year our goal is even GREATER!!!

 

This generous service to the Washington, DC community was established in 2015, and over the last several years, donations have provided over 3,500 turkeys to families in need.

 

 

Your donations will help us make an impact on our community and help those in need have a joyous holiday experience. Recipients were from local disadvantaged communities and included people from different races, ethnicities, and vocations.

 

Our team will distribute turkeys and care packages to afford some families in Washington, DC a complete Thanksgiving meal in 2021. The giveaway helps spread the message that reminds recipients that difficult times do not last forever, but are only for a season.

 

 

Our goal for 2021 is not to lose footing but increase it by providing a turkey to at least 500 families. This alone represents 3000 individuals receiving a meal for Thanksgiving.

 

 

In addition, each family will receive 1 box of produce containing Greens Corn, Peppers, Cabbage, Potatoes, Onions, Cucumbers, Carrots, and 1 box of dried goods containing Instant Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Turkey Gravy.

 

 

With an average donation of $50.00, our Annual Turkey Giveaway will be able to provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family of 6, plus the late-night leftovers.

 

 

100% of the funds raised go towards serving those in need in disadvantaged communities. Any funds raised beyond the Turkey Drive may be used to serve other charitable needs. Checks may be mailed to:
