Lifting the disenfranchised is something that we are passionate about, and would be thrilled to have the strength of our friends and family in this epic fight for democracy. Since 1971, the Southern Poverty Law Center has worked to ensure that the promise of the civil rights movement became a reality for all. Since then, they've won numerous landmark legal victories on behalf of the exploited, the powerless and the forgotten. SPLC has worked to challenge institutional racism and stamp out remnants of Jim Crow segregation; destroy some of the nation’s most violent white supremacist groups; and protect the civil rights of children, women, the disabled, immigrants and migrant workers, the LGBTQ community, prisoners, and many others who faced discrimination, abuse or exploitation.
