Anse Chastanet - Jade Mountain - COVID-19 Support
Donation protected
Thank you to all who have donated, funds will be used to help support the amazing team members at the resort. The resorts are opening on July 24th so I have disabled donations. Thank you again.
I've been a part of the Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain family for the past 12 years and it’s not just the properties' location and architecture that has impressed and inspired me. It is the genuine, unsurpassed hospitality of the resort team members that will always be the highlight for me, and for our guests, who continue to support us in such an incredible way.
These are unprecedented times in Saint Lucia and in the world. For the first time since 1980, the resorts have had to temporarily close and send their 540 team members home. Due to the magnitude of the crisis, there are only very limited benefits or government assistance for Saint Lucian workers who are unable to perform their jobs as a result of the pandemic. Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain are doing what they can to support their team members and the resorts owners with some volunteer team members are working closely with the community to assist those in need wherever and however possible. The resorts have also pledged a percentage of any new bookings received for future travel towards a community fund- these details can be found on their website (click here).
Knowing that our resort team members and their families are facing uncertain times, I have created a GoFundMe in cooperation with Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain. Any contributions made here will be distributed among our resort team members. The properties stand ready to welcome visitors as soon as local and international restrictions are lifted and the government deems travel to be safe. In the meantime, we hope that everyone will stay safe, healthy and above all, optimistic about the future.
Sincerely,
Chef Allen Susser
