Anson Fong Memorial Scholarship

Anson was a beloved member of Theta Class and Lambda Phi Epsilon. He came from a family with a rich Lambda history, his oldest brother Vernon (Berkeley Lambda - Charter Class) and his younger brother, Gaylen (Sac State Lambda).
For over 26 years, we have counted on Anson’s unconditional support. No matter what each of us had in our lives, we knew Anson would be there to listen and commiserate. Anson will always be a part of our lives. We will miss our brother dearly and are so grateful for his impact on our lives.
It’s telling that Anson chose to make games for a living, to foster his sense of boyish wonder and to entertain millions. In his life and through his career, Anson strove to share his joy of life and bring happiness to others.
To honor his legacy, we will be establishing a scholarship for the Active Lambda house at Berkeley. Each year it will be awarded to the brother that best exemplifies Anson’s relentless desire to bring joy to the world.
While any contribution is appreciated, we would really love if people can share their stories and pictures of Anson in the comments section.
R.I.P. Anson - We miss you.
