Antarctic Fire Angels
Donation protected
A team of 6 female firefighters intend to be the first emergency service team to use muscle power to ski coast to coast across Antartica on a route not covered by a female team before. The team will cover 1900kms pulling supply sleds in temperatures as low as -50 and wind speeds over 60mph. We estimate it will take us approximately 70 days and we are aiming to carry out the expedition in 2023.
Our vision is to inspire the next generation, smash stereotypical barriers and raise awareness of the impact of mental health on firefighters.
We are seeking sponsorship to support us with training, equipment, nutrition, technology and specialist technical support. But more importantly to help us raise funds for our nominated charities.
We are supporting the following charities:-
The Firefighters Charitybrgt;Fawcett Society
We appreciate any help and support and any donation will be most gratefully received. Your help will enable us to inspire many others and assist people in the emergency services who are living with trauma and injury.
