Anthony and Cheryl Gillan

Hello, my name is Shaun, and I'm fundraising for Anthony and Cheryl Gillan. Anthony Gillan is a Marion County Fire Rescue Lieutenant and served in the United States Marine Corps. On November 15th, 2022, Anthony was injured during a training evolution. He was declared a trauma alert and transported to the local trauma center. This incident caused a spinal cord injury that resulted in immediate surgery. While the doctors successfully prevented paralysis, Anthony and his family have a long road to recovery. Once Anthony is discharged from the hospital, he will be in a neck brace 24 hours a day for approximately 3 to 4 months, requiring around-the-clock supervision. His wife Cheryl has a couple of weeks of PTO left and will then be out on unpaid FMLA to care for her husband. My goal is to raise enough money for them so that they will not feel the loss of her income while she concentrates on caring for her husband. The funds will be used for monthly bills and expenses during Anthony's healing and recovery.
