Anthony and Krista

I have the pleasure of living next door to Anthony and Krista. Although it is only been three short years we have become family.

6 years ago Anthony was a live organ donor, selflessly donating part of his liver. It is our turn to be selfless and help our friends, Anthony and Krista.

This past Tuesday Anthony was taken to the hospital after becoming unconscious at home. Krista was by his side all night while tests were run. Anthony was air ambulanced to Vancouver Wednesday morning and underwent brain surgery that same evening after suffering an aneurysm.

Anthony has come out of the surgery successfully. Neurologically he is doing great, and is even able to crack some jokes. His son, Aidan and wife,Krista are both currently at his side in Vancouver at the hospital while he is being monitored and recovering.

His CT scan from Thursday looked good. They will send him for another one soon. Currently he’ll be in neuroscience ICU for at least another week and if he continues to improve, they will move him to a regular medical ward before preparing him for release.

Although medical costs are covered I'm Canada, there is the expense of staying away from home and not earning an income during the recovery time.
