Anthony Genovese

UPDATE: On behalf of Anthony and I, we would like to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of love and support.  I set our original goal at $2500 because I never dreamed that we would ever come close to making that goal.  I have increased that goal only because Anthony's medication is a monthly and ongoing expense.  We are truly humbled and appreciate all the generosity.   

My son has been battling Medullary Thyroid Cancer since he was twelve years old.  A year before that the same cancer took his mom's life. When my wife passed the only known cure for Medullary Thyroid Cancer was surgery, and although that is still the primary method of eradication, new yet expensive medicines are coming into light. My son so far has endured four surgeries for this cancer. The scar tissue is getting thicker, making it more difficult for future surgeries to be performed. However, there are new medicines being approved and tested. These medicines are too expensive for me to be able to afford on my salary, but they promise to be an effective tool to help kill the cancer, or at least keep it at bay until new methods and cures are discovered. Please help Anthony, and my family with his fight.
