Anthony Meisner Accident Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Our fellow Islander, childhood friend Anthony Meisner needs our help Vashonites and fellow classmates.

Anthony, (Tony) was in a horrible motorcycle accident Monday, July 20th on Vashon Island on his way home from work. He was airlifted to Harborview in Seattle. He will make it  but currently has 2 broken ankles, a broken leg, a broken wrist, severe burns and some small brain bleeding. Please keep him in your prayers. He is very lucky to have such a strong support team who loves him so much. Please do not call the hospital to speak with him... just yet or try to visit as he is limited to 1 Person a day and  we would like that to be his wife Tracey or his children. You are welcome to get an update from Tracey or Eddie their son.

Update : Anthony has been through 5 surgeries so far for his broken bones and burns.
Anthony works for Clay Eastley as a painter on the Island. He is a proud Father and a doting, loving Grandfather to 14 grand kids. He has been married for the past  27 years . He grew up on Vashon in Burton along with me, Michelle Milat, Rachelle Patrick, Mardi Lubich (Ledbetter) Dylan Reidt, Heather and Erica Rice, the Wiley's, the Hardy's, the Farwell's, the Hardman sister's and so many other's. He was always laughing, kind and pleasant. Always! Thats why I want to help him and his family. He was never the mean kid!
He has lived in Port Orchard the last 23 years.
Loves the Seahawks, loves to bbq loves the ocean and the beach.
He loves to be with his grandkids, family and friends.
He is super artistic and hates flying but loves road trips. He loves his Harley and collection of Nike's . The Island will always be a part of him as he has a Vashon Island outline tattoo. ( like so many of us that grew up here have ).
Tracey, his wife is trying to figure out 24 hour care between her and their children for the next 8 weeks. The Dr.  said no pressure on his feet for at least 6-8 weeks. Surgery for his right leg will be on Friday July 24th.

I am raising money to help Anthony and his family because my mom suffered an accident and was in the Burn unit at Harborview in 2005.
The medical bills were atrocious and there was no GoFundMe then.
My mom was in the ICU burn unit for 6 weeks and she had a long recovery after and never regained full strength in her left arm again. She was considered partially disabled which bothered her until the day she passed away in 2010.
This accident will cause a financial hardship for Anthony. He will not be able to go back to work for weeks.
Anthony is a hard worker, kind, devoted husband, father, son, brother and Grandfather but most of all he is a fellow Islander from a close knit community.
Their insurance is covering the motorcycle but not him. He crashed heading to catch the ferry to Southworth to get home to Port Orchard.
He is lucky to be alive.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and consideration.
I would do this for any of you❤
