Anthony & Staci Jesuit hoping to adopt

Donation protected
Hello dear friends and family,
We kindly ask for your prayers.

Our adoption agency, "Tapestry Adoption Agency," based in Indianapolis, reached out to us on February 14, 2024, regarding a potential situation. They informed us about twin boys, aged 4 (turning 5 in April), who were placed in emergency custody with relatives following the tragic loss of their father. Sadly, the boys' mother passed away the previous year. The twins are described as active, sweet, and seeking connection. While there are no official diagnoses yet, one of the boys is believed to have emotional and developmental delays, but is expected to catch up. The other boy has more pronounced special needs, including speech and cognitive delays.

Upon hearing this, we promptly expressed our interest in having our profile shared with the family. Ten days later, the agency arranged a meeting with us, the twins, and their current guardians. During this meeting, we conversed with the guardians about the children's background, ongoing custody matters, medical records, birth certificates, and why they were unable to adopt the boys. The guardians mentioned they already have 3 children and felt they couldn't take on 2 more. After meeting with the guardians, Tone met with one boy, and I met with the other and then we switched. After spending individual time with each child, we privately discussed our feelings with the Executive Director of our adoption agency, contemplating the next steps if we decided to proceed. We expressed the need to pray together and then said goodbye.

After driving home for 2 hours and seeking guidance through prayer, we contacted the Executive Director to seek further clarification and expressed our hopes to move forward, although needing to address the financial aspect. To initiate the process, we were informed that $2,000 was required for legal fees and $10,000 for the adoption agency, covering various adoption components. We have been diligently applying for grants, saving, and organizing fundraisers.

We share all this to announce that we have been matched with two amazing boys named Tanner and Matthew. Our hearts are set on welcoming them into our home as our sons.

The adoption agency informed us that Tanner and Matthew could potentially join our family as early as next week pending the necessary approvals. The goal for all involved is to provide a stable environment where the boys can begin to bond, heal, and flourish without delay.

Friends and family, we acknowledge that this is a significant development that has unfolded swiftly. We are equally taken aback by the speed of events. We humbly request your prayers for Tanner, Matthew, their guardians, and ourselves. Please pray for guidance, peace, and doors to open.

We await responses from the grants we have applied for over the past two months and are continuing our efforts in that regard. If possible, we would greatly appreciate your contribution to our GoFundMe campaign. We are actively planning fundraisers in the next week or two also.

Thank you for being a vital part of our support system.
Warm regards,
The Jesuits
