Anthony Stonecipher's Out of Pocket Medical

I have set up this GoFundMe for Anthony Stonecipher on behalf of the Corvette Community. There were several requests to have one created and Anthony expressed that he would need help to do so.

Anthony is a US Air Force veteran that required brain surgery that became infected. In order to treat the infection, he followed the VAs instructions to be transfered to various hospitals while the infection was eating through his skull. Finally, instead of waiting for further damage, Anthony elected to have life saving surgery that he would have to pay for out of pocket.

Currently, Anthony is in a battle with the VA to have his skull reconstructed. The infection had eaten through his forehead and nasal cavity. They had to remove his prosthetic skull piece.

Anthony continues to keep a good outlook on life, making light of his situation as you can see from the pictures he has provided. He also likes to make people laugh and leverages his injury for comedic purposes. While he is still trying to work a resolution with the VA, I personally have seen how long the process can take and how difficult it can be in order to get any resolution. If nothing else, this campaign can serve as a stop-gap measure to "kick the can down the road".

The Corvette community found Anthony while he was trying to sell his 2023 Corvette C8. He had ordered this vehicle before knowing he would have to pay out of pocket expenses in order to save his own life. This created a hardship on him and depleted his financial well being, causing him to evaluate the sale of his new vehicle.

Many members of the Corvette community do not think its right that a military veteran should have to sell his vehicle to pay for life saving surgery and would like to help him replenish his savings so he can not only keep his car, but also afford reconstructive surgery. Some have already donated directly to Anthony.
